Leslie Duckett, of Neurofeedback Group, was a certified teacher having taught elementary and middle school for 10-years. Certified School Counselor since 2003.Associate Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist at The International Mental Health Institute. Obtained a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of West Georgia and a Specialist’s Degree in Community Counseling from the University of West Georgia. Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Georgia Southern. Member of the American Counseling Association. Also holds advanced certifications in EGG and neurofeedback therapy. Currently doing research in Neurofeedback.
As a solution-focused therapist at the International Mental Health Institute, my goal is to help clients discover their true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating.
While we can't change the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your present-day life. Utilizing state-of-art scientific approaches and techniques, I am able to help clients discover specific areas of the brain that are not functioning properly. Only when these areas are properly activated and aligned, with the rest of the brain, will clients be able to function and learn properly.
When my son was 10, I felt exhausted (physically, emotionally, and financially) from trying everything I could to help him with his stress, anxiety, depression, and learning disorders. Nothing worked until neurofeedback. Within a couple of visits, my son was calm and focused. Soon, his grades improved and his life seemed to turn-on!
After my son was helped, I made a major change in the course of my professional career. I wanted to bring hope by helping other parents with neurofeedback. The rest is history. I now have two locations to serve clients—Woodstock and Cumming.
When parents express their joy and gratitude, I’m happy with them. When children express happiness about their new lives, I’m elated and know this was my destiny.
