WHAT IS NEUROFEEDBACK?

Our neurofeedback system works through a procedure known as operant conditioning. When a part of the brain is operating at an unhealthy level (imbalanced, too fast, or too slow), the brain begins to dysfunction by being out-of-sync. Neurofeedback helps to quickly retrain the brain to function within the normal range by using state-of-art, scientifically proven technology.

During the neurofeedback session, individuals are connected to a computer using wires and sensors, thereby allowing the  technology to monitor the brainwave activity. The software automatically detects when the brainwaves are properly ordered and feeds that information back to the patient in real time. The feedback appears in the form of a game, movie, or sound which signals to the patient that the brainwaves are becoming more ordered. The patient’s own brainwaves actually control the game, movie or sound activity, and the observation of this dynamic helps the brain learn how to improve its own regulation.

Neurofeedback takes advantage of the brain’s ability to change itself through a process known as Neuroplasticity. It utilizes the same learning process that occurs whenever we acquire a new skill. The brain learns by forming connections between nerve cells and utilizing important pathways that connect different locations in the brain. The more frequently you utilize these pathways the better the brain becomes at performing the associated task. In psychology, this type of leaning is called “Operant Conditioning”. It is a type of learning in which responses come to be controlled by their consequences. Quite simply, Neurofeedback offers the perfect learning conditions, since it facilitates awareness of when the brain is producing healthier brainwave patterns, provides reinforcement for the positive change and multiple opportunities to provide practice during a training session.

“I suffered with PTSD from two tours of combat duty in the military. Nothing helped until I used neurofeedback. Now I once again live a normal life without the discomfort of PTSD.” —Jason A, Norcross, GA

HOW CAN NEUROFEEDBACK HELP ME?

The brain is a learning machine. Using neurofeedback, the brain quickly learns to stay in healthy ranges permanently. Neurofeedback reconnects functional pathways in the brain to eliminate the individual’s problem.

Neurofeedback is designed to target specific areas of the brain according to a client’s symptoms and pretreatment brain scan analysis. Different symptoms will require targeting different areas of the brain to bring about a normal rhythm of individual brainwaves. Neurofeedback changes timing and activation patterns in the brain. These changes quickly improve overall brain function and well-being.

Neurofeedback is a scientific treatment breakthrough in non-drug therapy for the following conditions:

ANXIETY/STRESS
ADHD/ADD
LEARNING DISORDERS
INSOMNIA
DEPRESSION
FIBROMYALGIA
ADDICTION
AUTISM
MIGRAINES
POST TRAUMATICE DISORDER (PTSD)
TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY
OCD

“I feel 10 years younger. I sleep better, I have more energy and I no longer forget things. It’s amazing.” —Shelly O. Savannah, GA

HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT SESSION LAST AND HOW MANY TREATMENT SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

A typical treatment session lasts about 45 minutes and most patients usually require about 20 sessions, depending on clinical findings. Some cases may require more.

HOW LONG BEFORE I EXPERIENCE RESULTS?

Most clients respond to neurofeedback within the first 4-8 sessions with continued improvement resulting from the brain developing and reinforcing new pathways as well as learning new responses over the course of heir care.

Let us walk you through the steps to better health! We believe in using science vs. guesswork to detect the root cause of your brain's imbalance so we can provide you with the correction you want and need to reclaim your health and life?

We perform a comprehensive qEEG brain map. This process allows us to read the frequency of areas across the brain. Much like a weather map that shows high and low temperatures, this map will show brain frequency and which areas may be over or under signaling that may be contributing to symptoms within the body.

Based on your unique brain map results, we will let you know what we have found and if we can help. If a brain frequency imbalance is detected, we will advise what specific neurofeedback protocols can help to improve your health.

When the imbalance is detected and neurofeedback is performed, brainwave frequencies are optimized for improved function, health and wellbeing.

HOW LONG WILL THE EFFECTS OF NEUROFEEDBACK LAST?

Follow-up studies made over the long term demonstrate that improvements from Neurofeedback last up to 40 years.

ARE THERE ANY PUBLISHED STUDIES DEMONSTRATING THE EFFICACY OF THIS TREATMENT?

Since Neurofeedback first became popular in the 1960s, multiple research centers around the world have demonstrated the effectiveness of this modality for various types of neurologically based difficulties. Below are some of these studies:
